Just a suggestion for the pit area. Designated areas for motorhomes with trailers, pickups w/trailers and vehicles driven to the track w/no trailers. This maybe easier for the guys with motorhomes to get in and out of easier. Like I said just a suggestion and something to look at. Over all it was a great weekend and hats off to everyone that made it happen. The comments that were over heard from alot of the spectators was very positive.

First off, great job gentlemen, congrats on a very successful opener! The only comment I can make is on pit speed. Seen it only a couple of times but it is a small pit. Maybe just a reminder to the racers to reinforce the safety issue. Otherwise, great weekend!

Pit speed was overall quite well in check but as you point out it only takes one issue to cause a mishap. This has been noted and was put on our to do list yesterday...Thanks....

Just a suggestion pit crew should have a different color bracelet then spectators. But everything else went very well for a green track!! ;D

One suggestion would be to have all the track workers wear "Staff" shirts. At CB Dragway we have found this is an easy way for racers and spectators to identify people in charge. You would be surprised how much more co-operative people are when faced with someone wearing the "Staff" label. We use Leaf Racewear which has many styles of crew clothing but T shirt shops are an easy and inexpensive source too. A word of advice based on experience - don't get anything bright yellow because you'll attract wasps. ;D

Just an idea, but maybe more speakers to hear what the cars run. Pretty much, unless you where in stands with the spectators or way down the other end of the pits, you couldnt hear what times the cars where running. Mainly talking about the entrence to the track(runway) itself. I was just to the left and couldnt hear anything.
Also, and i know this is a VERY long shot, how about some Time lights half track that shows the ET/mph?
PEI has em and doesnt even use them!

Scott ; We are planning on re-working the speaker layout a bit to cover a few dead spots . It's a learning curve thing . As for the scoreboards that would be on the long term improvements list .

Hey guys, how about having a nostalgia weekend next summer? Maybe 1975 and older? I'd be there for sure with my old Merc and I'm sure if the word spread around the car clubs lots of guys would show up. It would give some guys a chance to settle the argument over who's car is faster. Its just an idea, I think it would be fun. ;D

What about a ...for lack of a better term...a "drag race clinic" on a Friday night for the guys (or gals) with street cars who have never raced before but would like to try it out. The track lights are usually all set up anyway. You could have someone explain the rules, the way the lights work, how to stage, dial ins, breakouts, pit rules etc. An experienced racer could get in with them on their first run and teach them what to do. Then let them have more runs. Charge them $5 or $10 or something and then give a prize to whoever comes closets to their dial in, best light, or whatever. Have it from 4:00 to 7:00, or 5:00 to 8:00 or something like that. Usually in the spring its daylight until 9:00 anyway. If we tried this at one of our first races in the spring, we might pick up a few more racers for the rest of the season. Worth considering?

If you have some issue that you think needs attention give us your suggested cure as well as the observation. Just a suggestion for the announcer, I am a loyal fan at Greenfield, but we do not get to see all the cars every race and it is hard to know who won by just the name of the drivers only, perhaps "He" could advise whether it was a"Tower" win or a "Your Side" win this would sure help us old car buffs in the stands. Thanks a lot for the Fantastic Show and the Great cars the drivers are bringing to the Track.
