Real nice looking piece Scott ;D Don't forget about the " KILL SWITCH '' which you will need to mount at the rear of the car, any vehicle which has a relocated battery must have the switch and is required to kill all power to the vehicle when in the off position. Also don't forget about the hold downs, 3/8's rod to hold it there. Check out the battery rules on the NSDRA web site or Maritime Drag Racing tech page. Unfortunitally those things go along with relocating a battery. SAM

Looks good ;D, I was gonna build a box too but since my trunk will be sealed off from the drivers compartment with .065" aluminum I don't really need one.

Good stuff Scott, I figured that you probably had all the rest of the pieces to be able to do the job . ;D You would not believe the amount of people that just throw the battery in the back and don't think of any of the problems that could arise from a improper install. SAM

Yeah..the only thing that makes me wonder, is wouldnt the altenator maybe keep the car going after you kill the switch?

It sure will, it is all in the way that the wiring is done. Need to be able to wire the alternator to the switch so that when you shut off the switch you will take power away from the alternator, which in turn stops the alternator from putting out power and letting the engine continue to run.

Scott : The output wire from your alternator needs to run back to the BATTERY side of your kill switch in order to kill the motor .

Don't forget your battery box has to be sealed and vented to the outside of the car unless you have a rear firewall.
