I'm working on my T-bird project as much as I can, I painted the interior and I'm hanging all the interior .065" aluminum panels now. I have a few questions so I can keep going - buying parts:
1) Foam in the fuel cell...Y or N? I'm looking for a cheap used one if possible...New baby in the house so the budget is VERY TIGHT....LOL
2) Functional brake lights on a track only car??? - not street legal.
3) My car currently has no steering column, it was gone when I got it. I was looking at some donor cars for a good column to fit my car. My dash consists of two 1/8" wall thickness 1"x1" square steel tubing running one over the other about 4" apart. It is covered with .065" aluminum too. The steering column will mount to the bottom bar. The top bar is welded to the A-pillars and the bottom bar is bolted to the pillars with a 3/8" bolt on each end. Any tips on a good column to look for or the best way to mount it? I was going to look for a t-bird column so I know it will fit the spline on my rack.\
4) Power assisted rack with no power assist - Any rules or tips on this?
5) adjustable brake proportion valves...yes or no?
6) If the trunk is completely sealed from the driver compartment does the battery still need to be in a box? I made an aluminum top mount plate for mine with 2 pieces of 3/8" threaded rod holding it down. I'll post some pics tommorow. My fuel cell will be in the trunk too.

Here's my battery hold-down. Please excuse the messy TIG welding job, I did it myself and I was in a rush at work when I did it....I ain't a welder, I'm a truck mechanic....LOL...It's made of 1/4 x 2" aluminum, the piece under the floor is the same 1/4 x 2" with 3/8" threaded rod. Is this cool for tech?
