OK, I have enough battery cable to run both the positive and negative to the trunk, should I skip the negative cable and just ground everything to the body? Sould I run the cables in or under the car? I will be installing an exterior master switch as per the rule book. Next, my engine will likely me 350-450hp for the first 2 summers, will a 3/8" fuel line be enough or should I go with a 1/2" line from day one? The reason I ask is that my Holley 12-803 pressure regulator has 3/8-NPT ports so I wonder if it would defeat the low restriction that the 1/2" line would allow. I'll be using a Holley "blue" electric fuel pump. Guys, I really appreciate all the help you guys are giving me.

Stuart ; You can just run the positive cable from the trunk to the front of the car . For your grounds weld studs to the frame and/or body and make your connections to the studs . For the fuel system , if the 12-803 regulator is what come with the Holley "Blue" pump , you will pushing the fuel system to it's limit at 450 hp . The 1/2" line will do for now . I had two "Blue" pumps (19 lb springs) each with it's own 1/2" line to the front of the car . Each line went to a seperate regulator to each bowl of the carb. I had this in a SBC turning 8000 rpm . Changed to a grant system (BG400 pump , 5/8 "line ) and picked up 2 mph on the top end . A wise gentlemen in the valley told me that if you are pushing 600 hp , the BG 280 is NOT enough . Spend your money wisely and do it right the first time . Fuel system problems are one of the hardest to find .

I'll be running a 351W with a dual feed 750 Holley vacuum secondary, Weiand stealth dual plane intake and shifting around 6000rpm for now. Once we get the $$$ for better heads we will upgrade the above and bump the redline higher. Maybe I should just get a bigger pump now as I haven't bought a one yet. I have a "red" pump hooked to the roller 5.0 in my 63 and other than the "buzzing sound" it works great. Should I be more concerned with fuel pressure or volume? I planed on running a line to each bowl of the carb as the regulator has two 3/8- NPT outlet ports. I figure if I'm going to bend a fuel line I might as well make it 1/2" from day one. What did you use for the line, steel tubing? What kind of fittings should I use at the regulator and pump?...I was thinking compression fittings should work. I'm a apprentice truck and transport mechanic so I'm quite handy at fabbing things up but I always like to get idea's and opinions from others before I spend any money on a project so I'll get the best bang for my buck. ;D

I bought a Moroso electric water pump kit today, is anyone here using this kit?...I bought it because it looked simple enough, there are replacement parts available and it will save me a few HP. The true electric water pumps are big money compared to this kit.
