The next general meeting is scheduled for July 22 , 2004 at 7:30 pm in the Bridgewater Legion .
Main topics for discussion are :
1) Sponsorship drive and funding to get started.
2) Final plans and arrangements for the tentative opening weekend .
As you may recall at the last meeting most members raised their hand in agreement to the question being asked regarding who was willing to throw $ 100 into the pot.
On July 16,17,18 2004 , there is a car show at the Exhibition grounds in Bridgewater and the Association is having a display booth . We will be selling tickets to raffle off a small block Chev short block (Donated by Bridgewater Engine) and a car CD player (Donated by Sound Shore Speed & Sound). So drop by and check it out . The drawing for the prizes will be done on opening weekend, just before racing is to start .
We will raise some funds with the raffle and expect that a few will help sell some of the few thousand tickets that we have. They are available now and are $ 1 each of 6 for $ 5, an easy sell !!! Please help, in fact buy a fist full yourself.
We have been able to raise some funds from sponsorship but not enough as of this date. Since most members have not tried very hard to raise sponsorship money and time is flying by, it is now time to reach into those pockets to make this happen if you want to have racing in Greenfield this year.
Any contributions will be individually accounted for and considered an to be an unsecured repayable loan and if for any reason there is no racing (which isn't likely) it is the intention of the Association to refund any money collected minus expenses incurred.
There were a number of people willing to chuck $ 500 into the pot, now is the time.
Please dig deep and give what you can regardless of the amount. Every bit will help.
We are close, agreements with the Region are in place, still a lot to do but we can get it done.
Remember, if the first race is successfull we will actually make money so the next ones gets a lot easier.
To make your day we have devised a scheme to get your money from you quickly and easily:
1. You can bring your money to the Meeting on the 22nd.
2. You can call 1-902-742-9255 Mon-Fri 8am-5pm and ask for operator 2330. The nice lady will ask you for your Name, Phone #, Visa or Mastercard #, Expiry Date and Amount of funds. 30 - 45 seconds and all done, hardly any pain.
Businesses as well as members and non members that wish to contribute can use these methods.
3. You can mail it to:

If we do not have funds shortly we will not be in a position to proceed so..............
