Hi all this looks like a good massage board and a cool site to come on and get some speed news. My thanks go out to those moderators like Site & Doug for making these sites possible. It sure will be nice to go to the track when it opens in late August to see some good runs and fast hotrods. If anyone out there that as a 97 to 03 pontiac Grand Prix GTP that would like to do some HP mods I would be more than happy to help them out either by talking them though it here or helping them do it if we get together. I have done all my own mods myself and it sure feels good each time you do one and feel the extra HP. I am sure that I am not the only one here on the South Shore that likes to have a family hotrod like mine. It feels kind of good to haul up to a set of street lights in the city or around town and some pony cars or Fstyle cars pull along side and say his car looks clean wonder if it can haul. Then the next thing they say holy crap he beat me to the next light lol. Thanks again folks. ;D

Hi trublu72 good to hear you want to do a fue mod to your grand am.The one thing you want to keep in mind is most mods do not come cheap. So with that said here goes a fue to start with.K&N Typhoon® CAI air filter syt You can get this at can. tire it is not cheap$120.00 but you will feel the ext. power. One more is 180 thermostat $10.00 can.tire when the she runs cooler she runs faster.A good exhust is a plus to$390.00 us www.pfyc.com/store/merchant.mv?Store_Code=PFYC&Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=GAEXH.A pcm is also a good thing to add they are on sale right now for $215.00 us Digital Horsepower PCM .Also there is a Intake Air Temp Override www.grandamgt.com/iatoverride.html I hope this helps abit tell me what you think. I hope it wont be are you nuts lol $1000.ca

i've already put a 2.4 Intake on the motor, it flows much better. There is already an intake on it, it is homemade. It uses a K&N filter, and 4" pipe. It has single exhaust that goes back to two mufflers, which seem to flow plenty. The clutch is new, and not built for old ladies. (center force) People tell me that the Muncie Transaxle is really tough, is that true? Supposedly the car ran mid 15's, in N.B.?

Sound like you are already ahead of the game that looks good trublu.I would say the muncie is tough but as you start to gain more hp thing start to give way some were in the drive train but if you only hammer once in a while it should stand alot.I would say a Intake Air Temp Override or so cald SLP Air Temperature Module will help www.clubgpstore.com/catview.asp?catid=2also if you go with the Digital Horsepower PCM - Grand Am if it is 1999 to 2002 you won't need the SLP Air Temperature module because the dh pcm does a better job.If you are going to go inside the Quad4 cam lifters & rockers are next & some good head porting. If your Gam is going in to the 15 that is pretty respectable times. I no some GT grand prixs with a 3.8 in them that only do 15.I myself have a cuble of mods left to do soon roller rockers and 75hp dry nos hope my trainy will stand it lol.

i might have miss lead you a little, or i just didn't say. The car is a 94. It is a GT sport sedan, a four door!!! It is an amazing sleeper (in the tuner world) The 94 is supposedly the best of the bunch, when it comes to the Quads. The 95 year brought the 2.4 Twin Cams, good engine, but not as much horsepower. This one, is an H.O. which means that it's putting out like 180 or 190 horses, not bad. It's a great car to cruise with, it's easy to roast all the Acura's where i live, the 5.0's aren't quite as easy, but i've claimed a few. Hoping to take it to Liverpool this fall, and see what she'll crank out!!!!!!!!!!

don't think that i'll be in Greenfield the first weekend, but i'll be there before the end of the season. At the end of this month, i'm helping my friend put an 8.8 in his fox body mustang, the car "should" run in the 13's, with a 302, and a five speed. I can't quite keep up with him, but there is some work done to his car. oh well!!! can't win em all, but i'll try!
