Ok, seen on other boards some of the imports who came out complaining about the track. For one, how many runs they got in. That the V8 cars where favored. Im not sure what youd expect with that many cars. I think i was told they only got 4 runs in. Well i only got three in. Two of my friends with mustangs only got 4 in. Pretty much that was the norm for any cars running time trails.
Also i seen no favortisim towards the V8 cars. I was also there with a few friends that drove imports and they where treatd just the same. I believe the one thing that comes to mind is when Toes mustang (rip) seemed to butt in line. I dont see what the big deal is. I let a few cars go around me, and i've been told to go around before. No big deal. We all get our turn.
Of course the track is going to be slick..its the first time out. Takes time to get the compound down. Also, if you dont have slicks, your not going to hook. You dont go to a track meet in rubber boots and expect to run fast. Of course you dont need them to have fun. But why complain about traction and "not set up for street tires" when its not meant to be.
So im curious what other concerns they have? t would be better to voice them here then on other sites where the concerns will go unheard.
Im not trying to start anything, just get everyone on the same page. Just get out there and have fun. Thats what its all about!
Speak up! ;D

Here Here, I agree with everything you posted above. I don't have an import but I am in the same class with a sport compact (98 Z24) I thought things were run much better than they were in previous years. I didn't see any favortisim at all towards the V8's. I was really liking how things were running, it seemed very smooth and efficient considering how many cars were there. I didn't get many runs in (2) due to a clutch issue but I will be back for sure at the next event. I think that most of the complaining is coming from people who don't have much experience at the track and are not use to how things run. Also if you show up at the track at 12 then of course you are not going to get in many runs. I think many of the people complaining are people who have only been to other tracks when they are holding a sport compact event and of course that is going to be different than an everyday weekend at the track. Maybe in the future we could get a weekend just dedicated to sport compacts. I know some people were upset at the anouncer. I didn't hear any of the comments that were supposedly said but I don't belive that they were intended to offend anyone. Just in good fun. I thought the weekend was a great success and I look forward to coming back to run the car. (hopefully to get a full pass in )
