ok, so i have my switch mounted and wires run. Battery box put in the rear.
BUT i forgot to add a hole in my box to hook up my amp for my stereo. Can i run my power wire to my switch? I can just drill a new hole, just rather not if i dont have to. Thanks!

Really you should have the amp hooked to a "key controlled" power source. You can run a wire to the positive battery cable side of your master shut off switch or your starter solenoid, that will work too. If you hook it to the master shut off then you can turn that off at night to completely kill all the power to the car. ;D

It depends on what you are running for an amp. Most amps wire directly to the battery, because they have what is called a remote wire that runs from the stereo to the amp which senses out put from the stereo to help protect the amp from power surges. Stuart's ideas are the way to go, either one is a perfect place to get a power source for your amp.
