Saturday was cool with a brisk breeze from the North East. Other than being a little nippy it was a great day.
There were approx 120 vehicles registered. Not too bad for the late date in the season.
We were running at exactly 9:00AM as usual.
A gamblers race was held in the PM with 79 participants.
Time trials were run between each of the 7 rounds as well as time trials were conducted after the race until near dark.
I assume all in attendance got their fill of time trials.
The winners of the gamblers race were:
#1 Barrett Bonnar
#2 Daryl Bishop
#3 Scott Sprague
Sunday is another matter.
There was a slight drizzle that came and went. We were able to time trial non slick tired vehicles in the morning until 12:30PM at which time it actually rained a bit just on the far end of the track.
Unfortunately it had been previously calculated that starting a race any later than that would not allow a finish and not wanting to have people waiting around all day, it was called off.
In an effort to do the best for our racers that we can do, the executive has come up with the following:
Racers with vehicles that arrived on Sunday were refunded their entrance fee in full and those that arrived on Saturday and paid for the weekend will be credited 50% of the amount of their vehicle fee paid towards the FIRST race of 2005. The tech cards will be saved and used to make a list of those with a credit available.
We thank all those that came out to support the NSDRA and hope to see you all in the spring of 2005.
Stay tuned for the announcement of a general meeting of your NSDRA. Please plan to attend.
