Andrea, I just asked that question to the tech guru at Greenfield and he replied you can use slicks if you have a driveshaft loop. I'm sure he will respond to your request with his official reply. Please understand that I have no authority to state the above but it is my interpretation of the answer for the same question. Overtaker.

Thanks Bob, yes we do have a proper driveshaft loop installed on the truck. We had it installed for extra safety reasons prior to even thinking about running slicks. I'll wait to see if any one from tech replys. We'll take the slicks with us anyways on July 9th weekend just in case we can, not a big deal if we can't thou. Thanks for replying - Andrea - 1/2 of the Ford Relic Racing team

Andrea, you can run your slicks in street class as long as you have the drive shaft loop mounted no futher than 6" from the front u-joint and it has to be at least 2" wide and 1/4" thick steel. Bob did ask me that question last week when we where working on the installation of the rebar for the concrete pads. Make sure you have the slicks mounted on the truck or bring them with you to the tech lanes so they can be inspected with the truck. Hope to see you in the tech lanes next race weekend.
