After much debate in our Directors meetings , here is what was decided regarding Fee's , refunds , rain outs and Saturday racing .
Fee's for weekend and SUNDAY racing are : Super-pro - $60.00 Pro - $50.00 Sportsman - $40.00 Bike and Sled - $40.00
Saturday racing - all classes - $25.00
Now for the juicy stuff . Entry Fee's will ONLY be refunded under the two following conditions ; 1) Your car fails tech inspection and cannot be made suitable to pass tech. or 2) Your car breaks BEFORE you make your first run for the weekend . If you buy a Saturday only pass for $25.00 , you CANNOT upgrade to a weekend racing pass . If you decide to stay for Sunday you will be required to pay the full fee based on the class you will run . If in the unfortunate event that we get rained out during Sunday eliminations , this is what will happen . All the prize money (1st , 2nd and 3rd) for each class will be added together and split among the remaining drivers in that class .
I could get into a long spree as to how all of this was decided but I'm not . The short and sweet answer is , that after much discussion , this was the decision of the Directors .
Now let the flame fest begin .

Doug, that was a very wise choice to pro rate the different classes and charge only $25 to race for one day. Without going into great detail [ ha ha ] could you please tell me why the racer would have to pay the full amount, lets say $60 for S/P on Sunday if he had changed his mind and decided to race on the Sabbath after paying his $25 to run on Saturday? Another $35 seems the logical fee to charge. P.S. ---- All the best to you and the staff along with the racers and spectators at your track next weekend. Give-er-Hell ---- Kevin

MCM ; I believe that our Sunday policy is similar to Sydney's , according to a post by Ratpower . I believe the policy at Miramichi is the entry fee buys you a tech card peroid (Saturday , Sunday or both days) .
Kevin : I will get out an answer when I have time to put one together .

Kevin
As Doug mentioned there was great debate and discussion about this issue.
Without going into detail it can be boiled down to this:
Races weekends are as the name implies, that is a weekend event not 2 one day events.
In an attempt to please those who may be unable to play with us on Sunday we would TRY a Saturday only rate. If it turns out to be troublesome we will likely go with one weekend rate only.
As any seasoned racer is aware there are many issues to deal with when there are both cars and people that have paid for a weekend as well as cars and people that have paid for only 1 day mixed together. Someone has to sort it all out.
The Sunday Payouts are paid from the racer entry fees so if a racer arrives on Sunday the weekend rate will apply as it does at every other track that I am aware of.

It makes sense, but i still dont see the point of paying the whole weekend fee after you pay the Sat fee.
My car is my daily driver. I like to see what it will run, however i dont want to race it all weekend. Also, racing with a broken arm, lol, shifting is hard for me to do, so i dont expect great times or consistancy. just want to have fun. Thats why i suggested the Seperate class for the guys just out to have fun.
But im glad to see that its being tried! Hopefully everyone will be happy with it!
