any advice?i am trying to run slicks on the monte ss this year with not much luck.being front wheel drive it has too much traction and torque at the front wheels that the back wheels with parking brake set will not hold the car so i can get a good burnout to heat the slicks...any suggestions? At this point i might as well go back to street tires(i did for july and seemed to leave better).. i would like to run the slicks as they would stick better if i could heat them but i can't think of anything i could do different to heat them up in the staging lane.....any advice would be grateful thanks ian

ever consider trying a drag radial instead of a slick. They likely would stick pretty good without heating them

I would go with the drag radial as well they will spin easier and don't require much burnout.
How much air was you running in your slicks Ian ? under inflated slicks take alot to spin, you could try more air and they might work.
