Hello, Does anyone have a recommendation for the best aluminum cyl heads for a SBC. I am currently using a set of the factory "camel hump" heads off a 327. Has anyone tried the "Patriot style" heads listed on Ebay? thanks

Boils down to how much you would like to spend, in the end what really counts is what will the head flow, and in my experience I have found that advertized numbers are usually missleading. Have seen a few flowed and in my opinion Air Flow Research (AFR) is the ones that are closest to advertized numbers and will do what the say they will do.
Sam.

I built a 383 last summer for a customer and bolted on a set of the patriot heads. I did some research, and they are a decent piece for the money. They appear really similar to the Edelbrock E street which is also a good head for the3 cash. I agree with Sam if you want all out power AFR is the way to go
